The Hidden Problem
Your driveway may look level after a lift, but the gaps between panels are still open. Every rainstorm sends water straight through those joints – washing out soil, creating voids, and setting you up for the same settling problem all over again.
- Open or crumbling joints between driveway, sidewalk, or patio panels
- Water pooling along seams and running beneath the concrete
- Weeds or debris collecting in unsealed control joints
- New settling or cracking within a year or two of a previous repair
Seal It & Protect It
Professional joint sealant fills the gaps between concrete panels with a flexible, waterproof barrier. It keeps Gulf Coast rain from reaching the soil below – the single best step you can take to make a lifted or repaired driveway last.
- Blocks water from flowing between panels and eroding soil
- Flexes with normal concrete movement instead of cracking open
- Ideal add-on after driveway lifting, sidewalk repair, or patio leveling
- Small investment compared to paying for another lift down the road

Sealed or Unsealed?
Skipping joint sealant saves a little upfront – but open joints invite water, erosion, and repeat settling. Here is why sealing matters after any concrete repair.

Joint Sealant FAQ
What is concrete joint sealant?
Joint sealant is a flexible material applied to the gaps between concrete panels. It blocks water from seeping beneath the slab and eroding the soil that supports your driveway, sidewalk, or patio.
Why should I seal joints after driveway lifting?
Lifting fixes the settlement, but open joints still let water in. Sealant closes that gap so your repair holds up longer and you are less likely to need another lift down the road.
What happens if I skip joint sealant?
Water can flow between panels, wash out soil, and cause the concrete to settle again. You may end up paying for another repair much sooner than expected.
How long does joint sealant last?
Quality sealant applied to clean, prepared joints can last many years. Exposure, traffic, and joint movement affect lifespan, and we use products suited to Gulf Coast weather.
Can you seal joints on sidewalks and patios too?
Yes. We seal control joints on driveways, sidewalks, patios, and pool decks wherever water intrusion is a concern.
How long does the job take?
Most joint sealing jobs are completed in a few hours, often the same day as a lifting or repair project.
Can sealant be added to an already repaired driveway?
Yes. If your concrete was lifted or leveled in the past and the joints were never sealed, we can evaluate and seal them now.
Is joint sealant included with lifting?
Joint sealant is offered as a recommended add-on after lifting. Ask about it during your free estimate so we can include it in your scope.
